Well, I was talking to my Dad yesterday about what the talks were about in church. In our ward it was all about the Book of Mormon. One guy talked about the scripture that says "And my father dwelt in a tent." He mentioned that every single scripture is in there for a reason and through some personal experiences of his that scripture came to mean something to him and his family. I thought that it was very interesting to see what certain scriptures mean to others. Another guy spoke about the fact that it was "Another testament of Jesus Christ". We have all had many people say that we are not Christian's and that we don't believe in the Bible. Yet we know just from this sentence that we are. Another testament signifies that it is not the only scripture we read and it mention's Christ's name. They both gave great talks and I was glad I went even though I had a migraine at the time
As I went to Relief Society I really liked the lesson that was given. It was on "Good, Better, and Best". Our teached referred to the story of Mary and Martha. She had to admit that she was more of a "Martha" in the fact that when she would have people coming over she would clean, and tidy up even after they had arrived whereas a "Mary" would have sat down regardless of the mess and listened the message that the visitor had brought. I am grateful that I am able to sit down and listen to the messages that are given without being to hard on myself for the things I am not able to get done.
